Institut Oenologique de Champagne
Institut Oenologique de Champagne SA (IOC) engages in the design, development, production, and sale of wine-making products in France and internationally. Since it was created in 1890, IOC has been using its expertise in the service of wine.
In the early 1980s the world renowned “IOC 18-2007” yeast strain was selected by IOC. This yeast now serves as a reference in Champagne and other sparkling winemaking regions.
Today IOC offers a large range of oenological products, adapted to all style of winemaking, for both still or sparkling wine, in all wine-growing regions across the world.
Why has IOC decided to sponsor ICCWS 2016?
IOC winemaker Pierre-Yves Bournerias comments on their involvement in the ICCWS 2016: “Our mobile bottling lines have been well recognised in England for more than 10 years, and we are proud to be part of the growth of English Sparkling Wines. We recognise that the 9th ICCWS 2016 is providing an excellent platform for English and Welsh wines to showcase their quality to the rest of the world. Covering innovative enological products, personalized winemaking and consulting and wines analysis, IOC offers a wealth of experience, expertise and solutions for every step of your wine making process, from grapes to bottled wine, to help you achieve your quality and organoleptic goals.”
